how are you feeling?

how were you feeling yesterday?
I didn't have the chance to ask before.
I hope you were well and bright as May,
and that your day was not a bore.

so, how are you feeling today?
I'm glad I get to talk to you now.
hope you feel even better than yesterday,
and that your sky has no clouds.

but how will you feel when it is tomorrow?
will I be able to ask you then?
hopefully you will feel no sorrow,
and that I will see you soon again.

kokoro kara

oh my kokoro
full of such sorrow
how will I know when
it shall be tomorrow?
can I still love you
when you don't love me, too?
with all my kokoro,
yes I still do.

your smile, it blossoms like a hana
every time I see it I wanna
smile with you,
as flora and fauna.
but can I still love you
when you don't love me, too?
like butterflies to hana,
yes I still do.

when I'm with you I'm full of hikari,
but if I'm embarrassing then I'm sorry.
I just want you
to hear my story.
but can I still love you
when you don't love me, too?
like the sun's hikari,
yes I still do.

why would you be surprised
that I love you?
you can see in my eyes
that I still do.

I wrote this on Figment before, but I really enjoyed it, so I am putting it here as well. Hope you enjoyed it, too. :)

Smile Like the Wind..

Do you see the way the wind blows?
How it moves with the world,
And tickles your nose?
Where does it go once it has passed?
Everywhere and nowhere.
Forever it lasts.
But what of the smile it leaves on your face?
Does it shine for a moment,
Then leave without a trace?
No, a smile can last forever,
And like the everlasting wind,
Continues its endeavor.
So though life may sometimes seem cruel,
Remember to smile,
And like the wind, stay cool.

Flower Beds or Orange Groves?

Where should I leave to today,

The flower beds or the orange groves?

Or perhaps to the lone tree of the concrete garden,

Where I may sit on the concrete bench

And watch the birds flutter in the concrete birdbath?

I may go there, for in the flower beds I still see birds flutter,

And in the orange groves I still see trees.

So perhaps I shall stroll out the door,

And sit across the way on my concrete bench.

O Fallen Child

Weep, o fallen smile,

Fill yourself with the sweet salt

Of your self-pity and regret.

But do not weep so much that perhaps

You drown in your sorrows, for

All will be well, little fallen child,

Pick yourself back up

And try not to fall so much anymore.

Greet Us, Dear Spring

Upon the dusty curve of spring

My fellow begonia likes to swing.

The beaten sculpture likes to dance

While little milk boy swings his lance.

Oho the spring has come for us!

Form a ring and sing 'til dusk!

Sing 'til the day has gone away!

Dance 'til the moon casts its glow on the bay!

Riddles and stories and birds and rats

All are rising, even the cats.

The lanterns fall

The trees stand tall!

Come spring, to greet us all!
